I am always in search of ways to make healthy eating easy without compromising on taste. Cereal type breakfast has never been a firm favorite of mine, for this reason I am always on the look out for interesting (and tasty) ways to stay on track with my healthy eating goals and still look forward to it.

In winter I really love cooked oats on the stove, the old fashioned way. Truth be-told, I enjoy sleeping in too, and often don't have time to stand there and watch oats cook which means I end up missing out on the most important meal of the day.

This is when I stumbled onto chia seed puddings and overnight oats. I love that I can prepare this the night before in under 5 minutes, put it in the fridge, grab it on my way out in the morning and eat it from the same container. Did someone say WINNING?

Chia seeds pack a serious protein punch for such a tiny spec of seed. In liquid the expand and are a wonderful protein addition in any meal.

Here is my quick and easy on the go overnight oats - chocolate chia seed

In a glass container (glass is best for you and our environment)

Mix

1/2 cup of raw uncooked oats

1 TBSP of chia seeds

1 - 1 1/2 cups of almond milk or coconut milk

Add

1 TBSP of Cocoa powder or cocoa powder

1 tsp of vanilla extract

Leave overnight in the fridge

In the morning,

Add a generous splodge of raw organic honey

Add 3-5 strawberries and enjoy.
